When I lost my mother, I felt adrift in a sea of grief. She was my confidante, my rock, the one I talked to every day about everything from the mundane to the profound. Her absence left a void that seemed impossible to fill. That's when I turned to journaling. Writing became my way of continuing the conversations we used to have.
As I journeyed through grief, I discovered the profound healing power of putting pen to paper. I realized by writing, I could pick up where my mother and I had left off in the physical world, sharing my thoughts, my dreams, and my sorrows in the pages of my journal.
However, I also understood that not everyone feels comfortable starting with a blank page. Many people find it intimidating, not knowing where to begin. That's when the idea struck me – why not create a starting point for them? I designed these interactive journals, complete with thoughtful prompts to guide the way, but I did not stop there.
I recognized some individuals express their emotions best through art and sketches, so I included writing and sketching prompts in these journals – to provide a versatile outlet for healing.
My dream is simple yet profound: to offer a haven for healing, a sanctuary where your words and art become the guiding light through the journey of grief, love, and remembrance. These journals are not about advice or telling you how to feel; they are about finding your own path to healing through your own words and creativity.
Meet the most amazing lady, my mom, Laura. She was an angel in the shape of my mom.
